Hamilton Heights Middle School Athletics

On Tuesday, the 7th grade football team hosted rival Tipton and won by a score of 36-6. Jack Higgins led the way with 2 touchdown runs and a touchdown reception. Luke Nichols and Wesley Trost added touchdown runs as well. Sam Bowman and Colton Fite converted a couple of 2 point conversions to finish off the scoring. With the win, the 7th grade improved to 4-3 on the season. The 7th grade will be back in action on Saturday when they host Lapel. On Tuesday, the 8th grade football team hosted Tipton and won by a score of 36-28. Cooper Hensley led the way with 4 touchdown passes in the game. Otto Moyer had a huge game with 3 touchdown catches. Drew Champion added a touchdown catch as well at a crucial point in the game. Jack Butor had a strong game on the ground, including a rushing touchdown. Butor also had a solid game on defense, which included a key interception in the first half. Andyn Emery led the defense with some big tackles at key moments. With the win, the 8th grade improved to 5-2 on the season. They will be back in action on Saturday when they host Lapel.
