Hamilton Heights Middle School Athletics

The 7th grade football team played in a hard-fought battle against Northwestern at SAC Stadium last night. Our 7th grade huskies took several steps forward this week. The effort and intensity is definitely something we can build on going forward. Despite falling short we battled every minute of the game. Huskies scored in the second half to tie it up 6-6. The Tigers, however, came back with another score of their own to take the lead for good in the 4th quarter. Final score 12-6. Finn Brown had another outstanding game with many tackles on defense and hard runs on offense while scoring our first touchdown of the season. The 8th graders dominated the Northwestern boys last night by a score of 46-0 last night. The offense was led by QB Jack Higgins and Wesley Trost who both scored two rushing TD's and Jack also threw for another. The Def. held the Tigers to negative yards rushing and caused 5 fumbles. It was a great defensive team effort led by Luke Nichols and Sam Bowman. The players and coaches want to thank the staff for their support of wearing players jerseys yesterday and also students and staff for coming out to the game last night as we had a great crowd. Next game is next Wed. at Western.
